Brand mood boards & creative direction.

A visual roadmap before a launch or refresh, connecting your audience, inspiration and brand personality.

UNDERSTANDING THE SERVICE

What this
actually involves.

A mood board translates an abstract feeling into a clear visual direction before you invest in finished designs. It brings references, palette ideas, typography, textures and composition together around a purpose. Creative direction adds the reasoning: why those choices fit your audience, what the work should communicate and which ideas should guide the next stage.

Who this can help

People with many disconnected references, a new launch without a clear look, or a brand considering a change in direction.

What we can work on

  • 01

Identify the common thread in your inspiration.

  • 02

Curate a coherent set of visual references.

  • 03

Define the colors, type mood, styling and image direction that support your goal.

How the project works

Start by sharing your goal, the materials you have and any deadline. I’ll review what you need and clarify the scope before the creative work begins.

We’ll agree on the direction, deliverables, review stages and the information you need to provide. Feedback is gathered around that agreed brief, and final delivery follows the scope confirmed in your proposal.

Possible deliverables

  • Curated mood board
  • Visual references
  • Creative direction notes

An agreed digital mood board and concise creative direction notes. Reference imagery is for direction; finished artwork and rights to third-party images are separate.

A question you might have

Is a mood board the finished brand?

No. It is a roadmap for the design work. It can help you decide what to create next, give a collaborator a clearer brief, or become the foundation for a separately scoped identity project.
